Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc 2015
With some balmy, idyllic days still ahead in summer’s tail, the slightly cooler weather now call for wines that offer a little more than poolside sipping charm, and this award-winning, complex, intriguing Sauvignon Blanc from cool climate origin answers the call.
Generous aromas of green fruits like kiwi and Granny Smith apple interplay with gooseberries and lemongrass in perfect harmony, introducing a clean and flinty palate that has wonderful zippy acidity, soundly balanced by complexity gained from lees contact and good length. The perfect al fresco seafood feast companion, but will also reward putting away for a few summers to come.
The wine can be ordered on the De Grendel website for R125 per bottle.
