African luxury, carefully curated

The gem-like interiors of the Opulent Living Concept Store & Gallery in Cape Town’s trendy Kloof Street promise a shopping experience with a difference. Striking emerald green walls, offset by splashes of rich sapphire blue and a bold black and white floor, enclose a glamorous space where quality and craftsmanship are a byword for style.

“I enjoy creating and delivering a shopping experience of a different kind. This is a store where you’ll find the finer things in life, but also a down-to-earth approach and – most importantly – where value for money is real.”

Barbara Lenhard
Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Opulent Living

Here Opulent Living founders Barbara Lenhard and Florian Gast have curated a gallery of a different kind. A covetable mix of high quality products personally sourced from known and trusted suppliers. The contemporary art is predominantly local and changes throughout the year. Most of the products are hand-crafted in Africa, many in the greater Cape Town area – with a few select collections imported from around the world.

Customers will find everything from custom-made jewellery, through beautiful leisurewear, to shoes and handbags crafted from the finest materials. Collector’s items, which include hand-embroidered teddy bears, the unique Legacy Collection jewellery made from the original prison fence from Robben Island, beautiful ceramics and décor accessories can be found under one roof. What brings this diverse mix together is the concept of accessible luxury, and the desire to showcase the very best South Africa has to offer. Here the discerning buyer will truly find “the finer things in life” – not to mention quite a few opulent surprises.

We’d love to see you in our beautiful Kloof Street store.
